Deadpool 2: Weasel And Dopinder Will Have Their Own Storyline

Though he only had a small part in Deadpool. Dopinder the cab driver (Karan Soni) will be making a comeback in Deadpool 2, and this time around he'll have a storyline with T.J. Miller's Weasel.

During an interview with ScreenRant, Miller explains:

"We're shooting in August and September and it's going to be even more Weaselicious. … The cab driver, Karan Soni, and Weasel have a pretty funny storyline, which I'm not positive is going to be in [the movie], but they were talking about it and it was really making me laugh. And I like him, I did Office Christmas Party with him, and he's very funny, very quick and so — because we didn't cross paths in the original film. … So y'know [fans can expect] stuff like that. I think they're really building out the world and deciding kind of what's next."

In the first movie, Dopinder was left in a car accident with his rival Bandhu in the trunk of his cab. If we follow continuity, I'm guessing Dopinder would have been in a spot of trouble, and maybe it would bleed over to his role in the sequel. As for Weasel, the last time we see him is right after Wade collects all the guns in the house, so I expect he's still working in Sister Margaret's School for Wayward Girls.

Miller had teased that he'll be getting a bigger role in this film this time around. It's even possible that his work on this movie is what lead him to quit Silicon Valley on HBO. Though the character was sort of an ass, fans will forever miss Erlich Bachman.

T.J. Miller's Weasel returns in Deadpool 2 which comes out June 1, 2018.
