Deadpool 2 Places Shioli Kutsuna in Key Role

It looks like Deadpool 2 has welcomed another actress in its roster.

According to a report by Deadine, the production team of the highly anticipated Deadpool sequel have cast Japanese actress Shioli Kutsuna in a "key role." Her most recent film projects being an indie film titled Oh Lucy! which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, Kutsuna has had a lot of great moments with big Hollywood stars including Jared Leto, her co-star in The Outsider.

Though the character she's playing has not yet been revealed, Kutsuna could potentially take on the role of a number of characters in the X-Men franchise, someone who's close to Ryan Reynold's Merc with a Mouth. She could take on the part of Pyslocke, a mutant with massive telepathic and telekinetic powers that she can use and focus into materializing deadly weapons. Though a British national, Psylocke's mind ends up in the body of a Japanese martial artist in the comics and from that point the mutant joins the X-Men. However, after Olivia Munn played the part in X-Men: Apocalypse, it's very likely that Shioli Katsuna may be given a different role to play in Deadpool 2.

There's no premiere date for Deadpool 2 just yet, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
