Deadpool 2: Pierce Brosnan Shuts Down Cable Casting Rumors

Casting rumors for Deadpool 2 has been making headlines as the film ramps up to production. The Atlanta star Zazie Beetz has been cast to play X-Force's Domino, and that leaves the extensive casting search for the time-traveling mutant, Cable. Several big names have been rumored to be in talks for the role, and one of them was the former James Bond actor, Pierce Brosnan, who recently came out to say that he's not actually running.

Fans speculated that Brosnan would play Cable since the Logan star Hugh Jackman and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds shared a photo on Twitter of them beside Brosnan, seemingly teasing the former James Bond's casting in the Deadpool sequel.

Sadly, however, Brosnan shut down the rumor during his appearance on Jimmy Kimmel: "not true. Nothing's come my way yet.... I don't lie. They know where to find me, it's just fabricated."

So what's with the photo? Brosnan explains: "We were sitting, waiting for a plane, the three of us, and the guy said, ‘Quick, let's get a photograph,' and [I] jump in the middle and Mr. Reynolds said, ‘Let's do Three Wise Monkeys.' [We] put it out there and it went viral."
