Deadpool & Cable May be a Polar Comedic Duo

With casting news swirling about who will portray Cable in Deadpool 2, the writers for the sequel Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick shared with SuperheroHype some of their plans, particularly how Cable will figure in.

We already know that the sequel will have more jokes packed in all kinds of unapologetic. However, these jokes may extend to the very backdrop in which Cable had entered the ‘90s comic scene.

For one thing, we may be seeing a very masculine Cable—and one that can easily become the butt of jokes from the Merc with a Mouth's perspective.

"Ryan plays Deadpool with a hint of femininity, and I think that can be funny opposite a cable who's uber-masculine. That'll come into casting and performance and the character design and his wardrobe and things like that too. I think we'll definitely play into that."

Even with the jokes still playing a big role in the sequel, Wernick did emphasize that the emotions at play will have just a big a weight and impact as to how they will develop the story.

"The humor and all that is obviously going to be there, so now we're focusing on the emotion and such… Deadpool at the core was a love story and an emotional story, and we wanted to bring the audience to that same place in a different way on the sequel."

Well, now that certainly seem like Deadpool 2's going to be all kinds of fun.
