Dave Bautista Thinks It’d Be Funny If Drax Met Iron Man In Avengers: Infinity War

Chris Pratt's Star Lord and his growing gang of cosmic thugs-turned-heroes are going on another space adventure in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2. After that, the Guardians are heading to Earth to join the Avengers and their fray against Josh Brolin's Thanos in the two-part Avengers: Infinity War.

Though the massive number of Avenger characters being brought into the film may keep the Guardians from meeting every character in the film, an interview with professional wrestler and Marvel star Dave Bautista on Screen Rant reveals the Avenger character he'd like Drax the Destroyer to meet in Infinity War.

"Oh, I've said for years, and years, and years. It's Robert Downey Jr./Tony Stark, man. I think there's so much humor to be had there with Drax and Tony Stark. With him being such a sarcastic bastard and Drax taking everything so literally. I think there's tons of humor to be had there. I'm also a huge fan of Robert's."

When we met Drax in the very first Guardians of the Galaxy, jokes and metaphors would just fly over the warriors head but based on the sequel's trailers, it seems like Drax is finally learning how to work with humor (though that little tidbit where Drax pointed out Peter Quill's shame at having his interest for Gamorra revealed was a bit corny). It would be rather interesting to see what kind of humor could result from an interaction between Drax and Iron Man if the two were to spend some time together in Infinity War.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 debuts on May 5, 2017 while Avengers: Infinity War comes crashing into cinemas on May 4, 2018.
