Dave Bautista Teases Banter Between Drax And Iron Man In Avengers: Infinity War

It looks like Dave Bautista's Drax the Destroyer's going to spend some time throwing lines with Robert Downy Jr.'s Iron Man in Avengers: Infinity War after all.

Fans aren't the only ones excited to see the different Marvel superheroes teaming up with one another in Infinity War. Back in April, Guardians of the Galaxy star Dave Bautista had revealed that he had been hoping that Drax would be able to banter with Tony Stark for years, thinking that there'd be a lot of humor to be made between the sarcastic Avenger and the Guardian of the Galaxy that doesn't let anything go over his head (because his reflexes are too fast ).

Now it seems like Drax shares some time quipping with Tony Stark in Infinity War. Speaking with Good Morning America, Bautista teased the two Marvel heroes' interactions, saying that it's much better than he had expected.

"I've said for years and years and years that I hoped the crossover would happen, because I thought that Drax would have such great interactions with Tony Stark. And it's gonna happen, and it's good, it's really good. It's better than I thought it would ever be, I'm really excited about."

The Marvel star also talked about how quickly he was able to find chemistry with Downey Jr. onscreen.

"Immediately. Here's the thing is that, I went to the premiere in London of Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Robert went out of his way to come and meet me and say how much he loved me in the first [Guardians] film. That meant the world to me, so it put me at kind of an automatic comfort level with him, so as soon as we hit the stage man, there was no pressure or walls there, I just felt like, ‘This guy is very supportive of me.' I think that's just him, he's a very giving actor across the board. But for me personally, I just felt totally at ease with him, and it makes for good chemistry when you're comfortable with someone."

Tony Stark isn't the only Avenger the Guardians get to exchange lines with – Chris Hemsworth's Thor is the first Avenger James Gunn's team of space misfits bump into while flying through space. It looks like fans are certainly in for one hell of a ride in Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War premieres on May 4, 2018. The untitled Avengers 4 on the other hand hits cinemas on May 3, 2019.
