Danny Boyle Leaves Bond 25 Over Creative Differences

It seemed that things were going on smoothly with the production of Bond 25, seeing that Danny Boyle had been put on the helm, but news has now dropped that the Trainspotting helmer has left the project over creative differences.

This was confirmed by the official James Bond account on Twitter:

Now MGM has to begin its director search again, but it looks like there's going to be a ticking clock. Bond 25 was originally considered for a November release next year, but depending on how long this director search takes, we could be looking at the release date being pushed back.

There was a good list of directors that were being rumored for the project before Boyle was announced. Some part of me is hoping that they get Dark Knight's Christopher Nolan onboard this time. Then again, Nolan is known for his very meticulous work that if he was hired, I'm expecting he would take longer to develop the film—hence a delay in the release.

As of now, nobody knows any specifics as to Boyle's exit, but hopefully more details come out over the next few weeks. This is Daniel Craig's final appearance as Bond, so everyone is expecting this next film to be special.

Bond 25 is slated for a release on Nov. 8, 2019.
