Michael Douglas Confirms His Return To Ant-Man 3

With the reveal of a third Ant-Man film on its way and the debunking of any Ant-Man and the Wasp sequels coming in the form of a series on Disney+, Michael Douglas further contributed to fan excitement and confirmed his return to the highly anticipated third film as well.

Speaking to Collider, the Hank Pym actor not only confirmed his return but also revealed that shooting will begin in January of 2021. The reporter also asked his thoughts on how it feels to have been part of Avengers: Endgame, now the highest-grossing film of all time, to which Douglas replied with "Let's just say, if you saw [Endgame], you might catch me for a brief moment."

During the same interview, he was also asked of his upcoming role in What If…? but responded with having no details yet of the upcoming animated project.

Douglas first took on the role of Pym in 2015's Ant-Man. He went on to reprise the role for Ant-Man and the Wasp and as previously stated, in Avengers: Endgame. Given the events that transpired during both films and previous teases from production, it could be safe to assume that this third film may heavily feature more of the Quantum Realm and what happened to Janet Van Dyne during her time there. But as always, we will all just have to wait for further details. And well, maybe sometime until 2022.

Some upcoming Marvel films with announced release dates, however, include Black Widow on May 1, 2020, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier in the Fall of 2020, The Eternals on November 6, 2020, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings on February 12, 2021, Loki in Spring 2021, WandaVision in Spring 2021, Doctor Strange inthe Multiverse of Madness on May 7, 2021, What If…? In Summer 2021, Hawkeye in Fall 2021, Thor: Love and Thunder on November 5, 2021, and Black Panther2 on May 6, 2022.
