Daniel Craig's Star Wars: The Force Awakens Cameo Revealed

Minor spoilers from Star Wars: The Force Awakens ahead

Remember the rumor circulating the webs months ago that claimed Daniel Craig was set to cameo as a Stormtrooper in The Force Awakens?

Well, that turned out to be true.

After Simon Pegg accidentally outed Craig for making a Stormtrooper cameo in J.J. Abrams' Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the James Bond star shot down the rumor as a joke. "Why would I ever bother doing something like that?" Craig asked EW at the time. "F—ing hell! Pffft. Play an extra in another movie." Now, the same source has confirmed that the actor did indeed waer a Stormtrooper armor and showed up in a brief yet memorable scene, even delivering a few lines.

Spoiler warning!

There's a scene in the film after Rey (Daisy Ridley) is captured by the First Order and is strapped to a chair for interrogation. This is the point when she realized she is Force-sensitive, and tries to mind-control the Stormtrooper guarding her to set her free. After a couple of attempts she manages it, but not before the Stormtrooper threatens to "tighten those restraints, scavenger scum." That was Daniel Craig!

I didn't even recognize his voice because I wasn't really expecting the Trooper to be the Bond actor, but I definitely will the next time I watch it tomorrow.
