There has been a lot of ambiguity when it comes to Daniel Craig reprising his role as James Bond in the next Bond movie, but it looks like he's decided to do two more films before eventually quitting the role.
According to the Sun UK, Craig has been convinced by producer Barbara Broccoli to stay on. The insider said:
"There was plenty of talk about who would be the next Bond but Barbara has managed to talk Daniel into two more films.
He is loved by audiences around the world and has driven a real resurgence for the movies at the box office, so bosses knew they couldn't lose him just yet."
More details have also come out, but so far we can only address them as rumors. For one, the working title for the next movie is said to be Shatterhand, and the sequel after that one will be a remake of On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
It's also rumored that Bond 25 will be based on a 1999 book called Never Dream of Dying, and the story will have 007 going head to head with yet another evil organization called The Union. It would be weird considering that the last movie just introduced an evil organization in the form if Spectre with Christoph Waltz as Blofeld. Are they scrapping that concept now?
The good news is, we finally know just how long Craig is staying on to play James Bond. Surely by the time he exits the franchise, we'll see a proper send off for Craig and an introduction for whomever is filling in his shoes.
Bond 25 is expected to come out Nov. 8, 2019.
