DCEU's Aquaman Finally Reveals What 'Unite The Seven' Means

When Zack Snyder first revealed Jason Momoa's version of Aquaman, it came with the line "Unite the Seven." At the time, many assumed it meant to unite the seven members of Justice League but the film only had six heroes, with no Green Lantern in sight. Turns out that the term Unite the Seven was never meant for Justice League but is actually a crucial part of the Aquaman movie.

Collider was able to visit the set of Aquaman last year and they revealed a number of interesting details about the film's story. Apparently, there are seven kingdoms across the ocean and Orm, one of the movie's antagonists, wants to become the Ocean Master (ha!) and unite those kingdoms under his rule.

It's a nice touch, with the seven kingdoms representing the seven seas that exist in real-life and are always mentioned in various pirate media. The fact that Snyder and Warner Bros. were thinking about this back then is kind of neat. Even in his original tweet, Snyder mentions that there can only be one king.

This should make for an epic story, which promises to feel standalone so that's nice. DC has been trying too hard to emulate the MCU formula so focusing on these kinds of stories is a nice change of pace.

Aquaman comes out on December 21.
