DC Universe's Doom Patrol Has Found Their Elasti-Girl

It might not be as anticipated as a show like Titans but there is plenty of excitement surrounding Doom Patrol. The odd comic book series is getting a live-action television series next year and if this report proves to be correct, DC and Warner Bros. may have just cast fan-favorite member Elasti-Girl.

According to Newsarama, actress April Bowlby has already signed on to the series and will be portraying Elasti-Girl, who will go by Elasti-Woman on the show. Fans of Drop Dead Diva should be familiar with her work and seeing her with superpowers should be fun, especially for her fans.

Elasti-Girl has the power to alter her size, making her similar to Ant-Man but without the helmet that talks to ants. She has appeared in many versions of the superhero team, including a recent version in the New 52. Oddly enough, Elasti-Girl was not a part of the most recent iteration of the team that appeared in DC's Young Animal publishing line.

Doom Patrol will debut in 2019 on the DC Universe streaming service, and will connect to DC Universe's Titans series, in which Elasti-Woman will make her debut. Titans will supposedly debut this fall, along with the DC Universe app.
