Could Nathan Fillion Be Hinting At An Older Nathan Drake Role In Sony’s Uncharted Movie?

Tom Holland might have been cast as a young Nathan Drake in Shawn Levy's upcoming Uncharted movie, but it looks like Sony might also be bringing in Firefly's Nathan Fillion to play the older version of the character in their film adaptation of Naughty Dog and Bend Studio's popular third-person shooter video game.

Taking to Instagram yesterday, Fillion decided to share a photo of the rapper Drake along with the caption "Sic Parvis Magna. 7/16/18." Cryptic as ever, gamers who've played Uncharted all know that the line "Sic Parvis Magna," in English "Greatness from Small Beginnings," is a line associated to the Drake family.

Though the Uncharted film adaptation was originally thought to be an origin story, there were rumors that director Shawn Levy was also looking for someone to lay an older version of Nathan Drake in the film. A lot of names were thrown around earlier this year, names that included Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt and Bradley Cooper. However, one of the most popular choices among Uncharted fans was Fillion's.

Playing Mal Reynolds in Firefly, Fillion fits perfectly in the role of Uncharted's loveable rogue, and fans all think that he'd be perfect for the role. Seeing Fillion hint at the role is definitely exciting – though we'll have to wait for confirmation just to be sure.

The Uncharted movie doesn't have a release date just yet, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
