Cosplayer Uses LED Holograms to Create Real-Life Doctor Strange Illusions

If you browsed the internet long enough, you may have run into this cool piece of tech called an LED fan that uses light to cast ‘holograms'. Some clever cosplayers at The Replica Prop Forum (the RPF) have come up with this neat idea to use the fan and bring a whole new level of reality to Doctor Strange cosplay.

Check it out:

What's also amazing about the fan is that it could change colors, and whoever took the time to animate the spell circles even gave this cool spark effect when the fans are turned off.

Though the LED fan projection does look cool, you have to be willing to dish out $300–400 to get just one piece. I bet the casual cosplayers wouldn't be so keen on spending that much, but it would do wonders for anyone who is into cosplay professionally.

With all the Marvel heroes out right now, Doctor Strange manages to stand out as one of the coolest comic-to-movie costumes that have been made. Sure Iron Man and Captain America look iconic, but they don't have the same trippy visuals that came with someone like Strange. Hopefully we get the sequel announced for Phase 4.

Catch Doctor Strange in Avengers: Infinity War now out in theaters.
