Colossus Will Have a More 'Important' Role in Deadpool 2

Though we've already been seeing Colossus in X-Men movies since X2, the Colossus in Deadpool is hands down one of the most comic-accurate representations of the character. He'll be back for the Deadpool sequel, and apparently, he'll be more important this time around.

Stefan Kapicic, who plays Colossus in the moive, told Inverse:

"Colossus is one of the most important characters, besides Deadpool and Cable, and you will see why. Colossus is important for this story. People who love Colossus are going to be crazy. All these new characters, so many surprises in this trailer. This is just the beginning."

In the first movie, Colossus stands in as the embodiment of the ‘true hero' that tries to goad on Deadpool to ‘do the right thing.' Of course, Deadpool doesn't listen to him, but that hasn't stopped Colossus from trying to get him to join their side.

Colossus was already a bit of fun in the first movie, so I'm curious how he's going to be ‘one of the most important characters' in the sequel. Perhaps he's the one who starts sowing seeds for the X-Force film. Is that still happening with the Disney/Fox acquisition?

Colossus comes back in Deadpool 2 which hits theaters May 18.
