Celebrities are usually beloved by most people, but you know who doesn't love them as much? They're own family members! Apparently, Guardians of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt admits that his 4-year-old son Jack still prefers Spider-Man to his Star-Lord.
In an interview with Bollywood Helpline, Pratt admits:
"He knows the first part of the film. I don't know if he thinks it is cool but he has seen the movies that I am in. He knows that I am Star-Lord. But as a matter of fact when I ask him ‘who is your favorite superhero Star-Lord', he says ‘no Spider-Man'. He just likes Spider-Man better."
Granted Jack Pratt is still pretty young, a lot of the content for Guardians of the Galaxy probably goes over his head. You don't really need to know much to admit that Spider-Man is pretty fun to watch onscreen.
As for Pratt's own guess, he thinks that his son is simply more interested in characters that have superpowers.
"I don't know if he fully understands what makes Star-Lord great because Star-Lord doesn't really have any superpowers. Star-Lord can't fly or shoot webs out of his hand … I think he (Jack) is more into super powers."
Though Spider-Man could be as impressive as he could be, I would still pretty much favor Star-Lord. I like my heroes grounded and sarcastic. Plus, I've been invested in anything Chris Pratt has done since I fell in love with him on Parks and Recreation #NoHomo.
Chris Pratt returns as Star-Lord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 which hits theaters May 5.
