Chris Miller: Visuals For The Miles Morales Spider-Man Movie Are ‘Groundbreaking’

Even though Sony has found a new Spider-Man in the form of Tom Holland, they are still doing their best to get what they can out of the Spider-verse, and they're working on an animated movie centered on future Spider-Man Miles Morales. The LEGO Movie director Chris Miller has had a look at the production, and he teases nothing short of amazing.

Miller posted this on Twitter:

As of now, the plot of the movie is being kept under wraps, but we do know that Shameik Moore will be providing the voice for Miles Morales, and Live Schreiber (X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and Mahershala Ali (Luke Cage) will also be providing their talents.

The movie will be directed by Bob Persicheti and Peter Ramsay, and Phil Lord and Chris Miller will be providing the screenplay along with co-writer Rodney Rothman. It's also worth mentioning that Gravity Falls creator Alex Hirsch is credited as a story contributor.

As of now, it's too early for me to make an honest opinion about the film, but I know that Phil Lord and Chris Miller are good at what they do. Shame that Kathleen Kennedy at Lucasfilm doesn't seem to agree.

The still untitled Spider-Man animated movie from Sony is slated for a release on Dec. 14, 2018.
