Chris Hemsworth and Taika Waititi Already Brainstorming Over Thor 4

Thor: Ragnarok has been hailed as the best film in the Thor franchise to date, with many loving Taika Waititi's comedy-oriented direction for the film. It also broke away from some conventions associated with Thor, such as breaking Mjolnir and destroying Asgard. With many wondering about the fate of Thor and the rest of the Avengers after the Infinity War films, Chris Hemsworth revealed that he has been spitballing ideas with Taika Waititi for a possible Thor 4 or Ragnarok 2 as Waititi once put it.

Speaking with USA Today, Hemsworth revealed that his time in Ragnarok with Waititi was one of the most enjoyable creative partnerships he had taken part in. Hemsworth also said that he and Waititi have been throwing ideas around for a fourth Thor film during the New Year.

"We gave cheers to Thor 3. But it also was like what could we do with four? We could do this and this. We were throwing ideas around. But also, just to work together again. That was one of the most enjoyable creative partnerships I've ever had."

Despite wanting to work with Waititi on another Thor film, Hemsworth did point out that it would depend on how the Infinity War films end. While Hemsworth has finished filming his scenes for the film, the actor said that he's not sure if Thor will survive, especially with his contract expiring after Avengers 4. Then again, he could be playing coy due to contract negotiations and all that jazz.

"It just depends on how The Avengers (movies) all wrap up. I finished shooting and now they are going to edit it and see how the stories play out. There are so many interwoven scenes and stories and characters."

Thor: Ragnarok comes to Blu-Ray and DVD on March 6. Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters on May 4. The unnamed Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
