Chris Hemsworth Teases A New Weapon For Thor In Avengers: Infinity War

Thanks to the trailers, we know that Thor loses Mjolnir in Thor: Ragnarok, but we can be sure that he finds a new weapon when he comes back for Avengers: Infinity War. Chris Hemsworth gives us a tease on what the new weapon could be and hints that it's something we may have already seen before.

Talking to ET Canada, Hemsworth reveals:

"There is something pretty exciting coming. I think the fans will know and love and be excited for it."

The weapon that instantly came into my head was the Mjolnir from the Ultimate comics which was a cool mesh between an axe and a hammer. The weapon was way larger than the Mjolnir from the movies, and it functions along with Thor's belt. Interestingly enough, "Thor's magic belt" was also something teased in Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Other fans believe that we may be seeing Thor wield Jarnbjorn, which is a dwarven axe that we see Thor wield in The Unworthy Thor. The Weapon ditches the whole hammer concept and hoes full axe, and I admit it does look pretty cool. That being said, I still think Thor should be wielding something hammer-like.

Perhaps we'll see Thor get his new weapon by the end of Thor: Ragnarok, but it's also possible we'll be seeing him receive it in Infinity War.

Avengers: Infinity War comes out May 4, 2018, and Thor: Ragnarok arrives Nov. 3.
