Check Out Vintage-Style Poster for Ready Player One

With Ready Player One being a love letter to all-things-80s, it would only make sense that the marketing would be a bit retro as well. A new vintage style poster has been released for the film, and it actually gives us our first look at some previously unseen characters.

Aside from the obvious Back to the Future reference, we also get out first look at Simon Pegg's character in the movie named Ogden Morrow. Lena Waithe (Master of None) is also seen for the first time as her character Aech. We also get another look at the RX-78-2 from Gundam as well as the Swordfish II from Cowboy Bebop. Do I even have to mention the Iron Giant from The Iron Giant?

With a release set for March, Ready Player One is almost here, and everyone is gearing up for the release of one of the biggest blockbusters of the year. It would also be interesting to see how the movie fairs against competing films Pacific Rim Uprising and Tomb Raider.

When the creator of a virtual reality world called the OASIS dies, he releases a video in which he challenges all OASIS users to find his Easter Egg, which will give the finder his fortune. Wade Watts finds the first clue and starts a race for the Egg.

Ready Player One hits theaters March 29.
