Check Out This Exciting New Batman Ninja English Trailer

Warner Brothers has just released the English trailer for its highly anticipated superhero anime movie, Batman Ninja.

Written by Gurren Lagann playwright Kazkui Nakashima, the film offers to take fans back into time to Feudal Japan along with Batman, his allies, and his greatest enemies. In this ancient period the Dark Knight must learn how to fight without his gadgets, training with a katana to fight down his arch nemesis, The Joker, and return to his own time. Along with him are other familiar Batman characters like Nightwing, Cat Woman and Alfred Pennyworth.

Batman Ninja is directed by Junpei Mizusaki, the opening animation producer of both JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: Stardust Crusader Egypt Arc, as well as the director of Kouchou Oujia Mushiking Super Battle Movie: Yami no Kaizou Kouchuu.

Having Batman return to medieval Japan and fight his old enemies without his gadgets seem to make for an exciting story, and we can't wait to see Batman Ninja for ourselves.

Here's the official synopsis of the film:

"Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd's time displacement machine transports many of Batman's worst enemies to feudal Japan - along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies - including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family - to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City."

Rated PG-13 for action, violence and suggestive material, Batman Ninja is set for digital release on April 24 and Blu-Ray on May 8th.
