Check Out This Cool Mash-Up Of Star Wars The Last Jedi And My Neighbor Totoro

My Neighbor Totoro is a movie that has received several mash-up parodies ever since it came out, and with Star Wars: The Last Jedi introducing us to some new cuddly creatures called the porgs, artist Michael Pasquale has come up with this cool mash-up he has dubbed: My Neighbor Poporgo.

Check it out:

Of course, porgs are supposed to be as small as birds in the film, but a lot of fans have already been going crazy online on just how cute they are. Just like the ewoks, it looks like these porgs are being created solely to sell some plush toys to the kids. But unlike the ewoks, it's unlikely we'll be seeing these porgs wage (effective) battle on the First Order forces.

Fun fact: If the fight between the Rebellion and the Empire was a metaphor for World War II, with the Empire standing in for the Nazis, it was said that the Ewoks fighting the Empire and winning was like a metaphor for the Vietnam War, in the sense that the Empire, with all its superior firepower, was having trouble fighting the locals who had used their knowledge of the jungle to their advantage.

Also fun fact: Instead of ewoks, the Empire was supposed to be battling a tribe of wookies. That probably wouldn't have looked as ridiculous as what we got.

Catch the porgs in Star Wars: The Last Jedi when it comes out in theaters Dec. 15.
