Charlie Cox Wants Scarlett Johannson’s Black Widow As Daredevil’s New fling In Season 3

Marvel fans aren't the only ones hoping to see crossovers between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the world built by Marvel TV.

With the third season of Daredevil scheduled for release next year, Charlie Cox has started listing down the potential characters that he'd like to see in Matt Murdock's life after The Defenders and it seems like the Marvel Netflix star wants to bring Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow to the small screen.

Speaking in an interview with Sensacine, Cox and Iron Fist star Finn Jones was asked which characters they'd like to see in their respective Marvel Netflix solo series. Of all the different Avengers characters, Cox wanted Natasha Romanoff, not just because she'd make a good addition to the kick-ass characters in the series, but also because Black Widow used to date Daredevil in the comics.

While it seems unlikely that Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige would allow Black Widow to pop up in a Marvel Netflix series, it would definitely make sense for Cox to hope for Natasha to enter Matt's life after everything that's happened to the blind vigilante in the second season of Daredevil. Not only is Daredevil struggling internally to keep to his ideologies, but his relationship with Deborah Ann Woll's Karen Page isn't going so well either.

Adding Black Widow would certainly help add some spice into Daredevil's life – that is, if Marvel Studios would allow the crossover.

The Defenders makes its big debut on August 18. Daredevil season 3 premieres sometime in 2018.
