It looks like TT Games has had enough of Batman and the Justice League, as the latest Lego game has put the spotlight on their villains. After months of speculation, Warner Bros. has announced Lego DC Super Villains, the next game in the popular Lego series. There is also a new cinematic trailer that should get fans interested.
The heroes are missing and villains are running rampant, with Joker, Harley Quinn, and Poison Ivy causing mayhem in Gotham. Don't worry it's not all Batman villains, with Reverse-Flash making an appearance in the trailer and other baddies like Darkseid have already been confirmed.
What the trailer hypes up, in the end, seems to be a custom character that the player can create. The Lego games have always had a create-a-character mode but this might be the first time we see it play a role in the game's story. How the custom villains get integrated into the story should be interesting, to say the least.
Seeing the folks at TT Games trying something new like this is fun and could re-energize the Lego game series. If we're being honest they all play the same but they're all pretty fun to be fair.
Lego DC Super Villains comes out on October 16 for PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
