Carrie Fisher’s General Leia Looks Somber In New Image For Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars: The Last Jedi might be a few months away from its release later this December, however new details and images from the highly anticipated sequel trilogy installment continue to make their way online.

The newest photo released is a promo image for Star Wars: The Last Jedi that shows off the late Carrie Fisher's new look as General Organa. First spotted by Games Radar, the image features a Leia with a somber expression on her face while she wears a thick, gray robe.

Check it out down below:

There isn't a lot of context to work with – we're not entirely certain whether we'll be seeing Leia wear this robe a lot in The Last Jedi or whether this outfit was made entirely for diplomatic purposes or possibly for the send-off ceremony for Han (Harrison Ford) who was killed by their son Ben/Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) in The Force Awakens.

What we are certain however is the sad reminder that The Last Jedi will be the last time we get to see Carrie on the big screen. The Star Wars legend passed away because of heart complications back in December last year, and many grieved after losing one of the most brilliant actresses in the Star Wars franchise.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi hits cinemas December 15, 2017.
