Carrie Fisher Teases Romance With Harrison Ford On Star Wars Set

Carrie Fisher and Harrison Ford portrayed one of the most popular movie couples in history as Princess Leia and Han Solo in the original Star Wars trilogy. Because their chemistry in the films were undeniable, many people have constantly wondered about their relationship behind the cameras.

The two have insisted that their relationship had been purely platonic, but fans are still wondering if a hook-up ever happened.

That includes Jonathan Ross of The Jonathan Ross Show. When Fisher joined Ross on his show, the TV host couldn't help but ask Fisher about her relationship with Ford.

Ross first asked about the on-screen couple's attraction in real life, to which Fisher denied having any. The 59-year-old actress eventually revealed more when Ross kept on asking:

Carrie answered:

At the time, I was 19 years old and I was going to the Central School of Speech… [I was so not] a wild child but I acted like one. I have always had a kind of demeanour. [It gets me in] lots of trouble.
Well when I went on the film I really thought, I saw him and he looked like a movie star. I met him in LA and read with him and stuff and was too nervous to see him so when we got on the set I saw him and he was sitting in the Millennium Falcon… and I thought he looked like one of those movie stars… It wasn't like you get a crush on that person.

The actress then hinted of her old journals showing her feelings about Ford at the time:

I actually recently found my diaries from this [time]... It had some memories in it… I wonder it too so when I found the journals I looked. I haven't looked all the way through it but I must say it seemed to be trending in that direction. But it didn't happen. I haven't read through to the end, that's a lot of typing.

She then teased that "[The hook-up] might happen, it might not happen."

Fisher also said of her future role in Star Wars: "If they don't kill me [I'll come back]."

Personally, I'm just glad we got to see Leia and Han on the big screen again on The Force Awakens. Even though they killed Han, Ford has hinted that his character could be back. as for Carrie, there's also this sad rumor about her character, which hopefully isn't true. I just wish they didn't have to add new characters while killing off old, favorite ones.

This week's Jonathan Ross Show will air Saturday, March 26 at 10 p.m. on ITV. Fisher will be joined by other guests including Russell Howard, Dylan Hartley, Billy Vunipola, Danny Care, Jonathan Joseph and Katherine Jenkins.
