Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 Confirmed for Disney Streaming Service

After previously confirming that Captain Marvel wouldn't be coming to Netflix, Disney doubled down on the announcement by confirming that this movie and Avengers 4 would be coming to the company's streaming service. Since the service is set to come out in late 2019, there's a good chance that these movies could be part of the app's launch.

During an extensive feature by Variety, the two Marvel movies were confirmed for the service, along with the live-action remakes of Dumbo and Lady and the Tramp. How soon we'll see these movies in the service wasn't made clear but we can probably expect them early on if these announcements are anything to go by.

One interesting Marvel-related omission is Spider-Man: Far From Home, though that might be due to the fact that it's still a Sony movie. Sure, the film is set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but as part of the deal with Sony, any future Spider-Man installments will still belong to the studio. We probably won't see Homecoming in the streaming service either.

Putting both Captain Marvel and Avengers 4 in the service will definitely get MCU fans interested. These two movies are highly anticipated, with everyone hoping they live up to expectations.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 6, 2019. Avengers 4 comes out on May 3, 2019.
