Captain America: Civil War, Deadpool Share a Connection Spotted in a Deleted Scene

Deadpool may be the odd one out in the Marvel hero movies. Apart from his fourth wall-breaking streak, the whole legal boundaries between Fox and Marvel is preventing any team-up, cameos, or crossovers with Deadpool and the rest of the MCU cast as we know it.

But that doesn't mean that there aren't any Easter Eggs and little tidbits that fans can enjoy in the films. One good example is a sighting via Comicbook Movie, which teases a connection of sorts between Deadpool and Captain America: Civil War.

According to the report, the extended and deleted scenes in Deadpool have featured The Raft, a prison in the Marvel universe that is home to supervillains and criminals.

Fans who may be re-watching Captain America: Civil War in digital HD may remember seeing the facility following the grand airport brawl among the heroes. The Raft played a major role, as it was where the members of Team Cap, Scarlet Witch, falcon, Ant-Man, and Hawkeye were held.

But in Deadpool, it appears that The Raft also appeared in the deleted scene. The only link to it was Ajax, the guy who had tortured Wade during his time as a test subject. Ajax appears to have spent some time in the prison before he was released prior to the events in Deadpool. Whether or not this was an Easter Egg for fans to find following Captain America: Civil War remains to be confirmed.

It's also possible that this wasn't included in Deadpool due to Marvel Studios' rights to the facility. Given that it was in the deleted scene, we think that it seems to be a more deliberate connection than mere accidental though.

In any case, it's a nice little find. It's almost the same as Deadpool in the MCU—he's there as a nice little Easter Egg that hints to all.
