Canadian Prime Minister Finds Himself In X-Men: Dark Phoenix Cast Photo

It looks like Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau just might have a short cameo in the highly anticipated 20th Century Fox X-Men prequel series installment, X-Men: Dark Phoenix.

Production for Dark Phoenix has just begun and while casting announcements have been made over the past few weeks, it looks like a new cast photo has just made its way online, showing a familiar Canadian prime minister's face in the mix.

Along with him are Phoenix cast members James McAvoy (Professor X), Sophie Turner (Jean Grey), Tye Sheridan (Cyclops), Kodi Smit-McPhee (Nightcrawler) and Alexandra Shipp (Storm) as well as the film's writer-director Simon Kinberg and X-Men franchise producer Hutch Parker.

Of course, while the principal cast members in the photo are most certainly appearing in Dark Phoenix, 20th Century Fox may add more mutants into the mix. After all, the creative team is still casting parts and more actors and actresses are expected to join the film.

While it isn't surprising to see McAvoy and the others in the cast photo, it's interesting to find Trudeau in the mix. Politicians don't just appear in Hollywood productions to hang out with celebrities – Fox could have invited the Canadian Prime Minister to cameo in Dark Phoenix. After all, Trudeau is sort of a sensation himself – his attractive features and his policies have gained him a lot of fans as well.

X-Men: Dark Phoenix is set to hit cinemas on November 2, 2018.
