CBS Offers Update On Jordan Peele And Simon Kinberg’s Twilight Zone Series

There hasn't been that many updates regarding Jordan Peele's The Twilight Zone series but it looks like the show might start production soon.

CBS TV Studios president David Stapf together with the company's EVP of Original Content, Julie McNamara, have both decided to offer fans an update on Peele's project with X-Men director Simon Kinberg (via Geek Tyrant).

Though Stapf and McNamara don't have any information in terms of the show's story and direction, they both say that The Twilight Zone is more than ready to begin production within the next two months so that CBS All Access can finally release the series.

"We have a room, we have a first season of concepts, outlines, scripted — various stages of all these things — of that 10 eps a season," Stapf and McNamara both said in a statement. "We are well on our way, and we are going to start production in the next couple of months."

Stapf has also been asked about the series' showrunner, however, according to the CBS TV Studio bigwig, since The Twilight zone is an anthology, it won't be needed a showrunner. McNamara, however, informs that Greg Yaitanese will be looking over the overall continuity of the series during its production so that things don't get mixed up.

For those who aren't familiar with the original Twilight Zone series, the science fiction horror fantasy anthology started in 1959 in CBS and ran for five seasons till 1964. A popular series, The Twilight Zone was ranked number seven on Rolling Stones list of the 100 Greatest Shows of All Time.

Peele and Kinberg's The Twilight Zone doesn't have a release date just yet but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
