Bright Clip: Will Smith's Ward Does Not Love Orc Music

David Ayer's Bright is basically a fantasy version of Training Day, and it has Will Smith's character Ward being shoved into a partnership with Orc cop Jakoby (Joel Edgerton). The movie will probably contain a lot of other cop-film clichés, and a new clip has Ward and Jakoby fighting about music in the car.

Check it out:

The scene is something straight out of Rush Hour, and it's actually funny that Jakoby would call the orc song a "love song." With all the clichés there are when it comes to buddy cop films, I'm excited to see how this movie's unique take on the genre.

Besides that, there's also this clip released of the elf girl that we've been seeing in the trailers. The clip is being sold as "found footage," but some of the shots look pretty stylized if you ask me.

Though Suicide Squad was a critical bomb, you have to admit that Ayer definitely has an eye for visuals. With SS said to have an issue with the studio rushing the script (and changing the overall tone of the movie), I hope Netflix gave Ayer the freedom to present Bright the way he wanted it.

In an alternate present day, humans, orcs, elves and fairies have been coexisting since the beginning of time. Two police officers, one a human, the other an orc, embark on a routine night patrol that will alter the future of their world as they know it. Battling both their own personal differences as well as an onslaught of enemies, they must work together to protect a young female elf and a thought-to-be-forgotten relic, which, in the wrong hands, could destroy everything.

Bright comes to Netflix Dec. 22.
