It can't be denied that Gina Carano has become one of the most colorful personalities on social media and every time she gets the opportunity to speak her mind on her platform, it's always guaranteed to generate a lot of buzz and fan reactions. Carano hasn't been shy airing her views and opinions regarding sociopolitical issues and she's drawn huge flak for her statements over the last couple of months concerning mail-in votes, COVID-19 vaccines, and transgender people.

All the controversy surrounding the former-MMA-fighter-turned-actress seemed to have done her great. In fact, it might have helped Gina land the number 2 spot on IMDb's Top Star Meter list. Taking to Twitter, the rising star celebrated the huge milestone in her career but in true Gina Carano fashion, she threw shade at the Hollywood press for allegedly running a smear campaign against her.

Gina wrote: "My friend, ‘Gee!! You're number 2 on the IMDB star meter even though the Hollywood press ran a whole smear campaign on you and you didn't do one interview. Congrats you're kicking ass!!!' I guess it's all about perspective."

Gina's probably just trolling at this point and it looks like she's gotten so used to some fans attacking her for her beliefs. Also, expect her to stand her ground regarding the issue although she recently stated that she's open to getting "educated" by her followers. What do you think though? Does she deserve to be a victim of cancel culture or are people just ganging up against her just for the heck of it?

Meanwhile, the season finale of The Mandalorian premieres this Friday on Disney+.
