The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is among the Marvel Cinematic Universe spinoff shows on Disney+ that fans have been eagerly awaiting. Originally slated for release this year, the show's production, led by Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan has experienced several delays over the last couple of months due to the COVID-19 pandemic but things seem to be running smoothly now that they've resumed filming. The show, of course, will take place following the dramatic events of Avengers: Endgame as Captain America passes on his shield and mantle. It will also see the shocking return of the sinister Baron Zemo, played by Daniel Brühl who will be a major thorn in the side of both Sam Wilson and Bucky Barnes — or is he?

A new behind-the-scenes photo is making the rounds all over social media which seems to tease an unlikely alliance which will see The Falcon, The Winter Soldier, and the devious villain who wreaked havoc in 2016's Captain America: Civil War in a brief team-up sequence. The set image features the trio in combat mode as they are surrounded by what seems to be a group of mercenaries. Is Baron Zemo and ally now?

It's an interesting sight, to say the least, but don't let a single set photo fool you. For all we know, Zemo might be plotting another grand scheme to outsmart our heroes anew. What intrigues me the most, however, is the dynamic between him and Bucky Barnes who has long been under the control of HYDRA. While we know that Bucky is free from the clutches of the villainous organization, could it be possible that Zemo is actually out to turn The Winter Soldier evil once again? We'll have to wait and see.
