The Dark Knight Rises Star Anne Hathaway Becomes Flashpoint Joker in Wicked New Image

The Witches star Anne Hathaway will forever be remembered by DC fans for her "purrfect" portrayal of Selina Kyle aka Catwoman in 2012's The Dark Knight Rises opposite Christian Bale but have you ever wondered how things would be like should she decide to make her way back to the DC film franchise and undergo some serious transformation as a different Batman character? This new fan art is making the rounds all over social media depicting Hathaway as a female version of arguably Batman's greatest nemesis — The Joker.

The equally stunning and wicked work comes from artist BossLogic who reimagined Hathaway as the Flashpoint Joker. Of course, Batfans are well aware that this iteration of the character comes from an alternate universe where Martha Wayne becomes The Joker to Thomas Wayne's Batman following the horrific death of Bruce Wayne at Crime Alley. The fan art idea came about after fans noticed the facial scars Anne's character sports in The Witches' trailer which obviously reminded a lot of them of the iconic Batman villain. Now, with the solo The Flash film starring Ezra Miller diving into the complex DC Multiverse and taking major inspiration from the mind-blowing Flashpoint story arc in the comics, I'd surely be down to see a cameo appearance from Anne Hathaway, be it as Selina Kyle from the Nolanverse or even a different DC character It's also worth noting that previous reports have suggested the involvement of Christian Bale in the Andy Muschietti-directed film so it'd be interesting if DC and Warner Bros. are actually entertaining the idea of including other characters from The Dark Knight trilogy. I guess we'll all have to wait to find out!

The Flash is scheduled for release in 2022.
