We've seen The Boys actor Karl Urban take on roles from several huge nerd franchises, including Star Trek, The Lord of the Rings, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe but for how stellar his acting career has been, he's yet to crossover to the DC Universe and it's pretty hard to imagine why he hasn't stepped foot in the iconic film universe. Now, one fan has reimagined the ruthless Billy Butcher as the one and only Dark Knight.

Artist Rinsh created the amazing image, giving Urban Robert Pattinson's The Batman costume, presumably as an older, edgier, and more rugged-looking Bruce Wayne and posted it on Instagram. It's awesome-looking, I'm not gonna lie but the real question is, does it work for fans of the iconic DC character as well? You be the judge. Check it out below:

The same artist has also previously reimagined Urban's The Boys co-star Antony Starr as DC's Man of Steel and boy, he looks a lot more menacing than the Supes we're all familiar with. Obviously, his Homelander character has been drawing huge comparisons to Clark Kent himself so it doesn't come as a surprise anymore that he took the liberty to make the fan art. See it here:

Now, going back to Urban, sure, he's a tremendous actor but let's be honest here, he looks nothing like Bruce Wayne or Batman but that's not to say that he doesn't deserve to be in another comic book film because he's totally earned the right. Maybe he could take on a different DC role, I don't know, maybe someone like Lobo, but the caped crusader? I don't think it works so I'm gonna give it a hard pass. However, I've always believed that he could do the Wolverine character justice should he be given the chance, and quite frankly, he kinda fits the bill or maybe it's just me. At the end of the day, the door is always open for him especially with his outstanding performance in The Boys.

Speaking of, The Boys Season 2 is currently streaming on Amazon Prime.
