Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany's conspicuous lack of reaction regarding the news that she has been officially cast as She-Hulk in the Marvel Cinematic Universe has been a complete mystery to most fans considering the news was actually reported almost a month ago and even Hulk actor himself, Mark Ruffalo welcomed Maslany to the Marvel family. Now, the "supposed" star of the upcoming Disney+ series is coming out to break her silence regarding the casting news and shockingly enough, she denied the rumors right off the bat. What?!

In a recent interview with The Sudbury Star, Maslany dismissed previous reports linking her to the MCU spinoff show. According to her, she's not playing Jennifer Walters in the MCU. "That actually isn't a real thing and it's like a press release that's gotten out of hand. It's totally not — I've been connected to these things in the past and press has gotten onto it, but it's not actually a thing, unfortunately," she explained. "Yeah, I don't know how these things get—I don't know, I don't know. You know better; I have no idea."

She could be telling the truth but of course, we all know how secretive Marvel actors could get regarding their involvement in projects and Maslany could just be messing with the entire MCU fandom. However, if Maslany does end up being involved in She-Hulk, it's definitely going to be considered bad form on her part for even trying to mislead fans, to begin with. Welp. As confusing as it is, let's just wait for the official word from Marvel Studios.

Other details about She-Hulk are still being kept under wraps.
