In case you weren't aware, a third Tron film is currently in the works over at Disney with Morbius star Jared Leto in the lead.

Now, the actor and 30 Seconds to Mars frontman has revealed that he's already started training for his yet-to-be-disclosed role. Showing off his already ripped physique on social media, the Suicide Squad star wrote: "Starting the Tron workout... join me?"

The project was confirmed last August but we still don't know much about Tron 3 other than it's going to be helmed by director Garth Davis and written by Jesse Wigutow. Oh, the project is also said to have the working title Tron: Ares, as revealed by Leto himself — by accident, mind you on Twitter. The film dates back to 2017 and Leto reportedly has always been Disney's top choice to star in the science-fiction epic.

Its predecessor, Tron: Legacy came out 10 years ago and featured Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund in the lead. I'm not entirely sure what took Disney this long to come up with plans for a sequel, considering it did well at the box office and has garnered a strong following but at least, it's all coming into fruition now. Better late than never, I guess?

While we wait for Tron 3 to hit theaters, potentially in 2022, Jared Leto leads his own Spider-Man spinoff film Morbius which is slated for release in 2021.
