Henry Cavill Superman Trends as Fans Create Movement for Man of Steel Sequel

With the Snyder Cut movement finally seeing the light of day, fans had renewed hope for the fate of Henry Cavill's Superman in future DCEU flicks.

Long-time followers of the DC film franchise know that even before the Snyder Cut brigade kickstarted, super-fans have already been clamoring for a Man of Steel sequel. A lot of you are probably aware by now that the project has been sidelined multiple times in favor of other DCEU projects and the general belief amongst fans is that Man of Steel 2 isn't exactly in Warner Bros' list. Not yet, at least.

Now, supporters of the British actor are taking matters into their own hands once more and restarted the Man of Steel 2 movement. #HenryCavillTwitter became a hot trending topic on Twitter as fans, not only from Metropolis but from across the globe express their support for Cavill. See some of the tweets below:

Henry Cavill as Superman was a lightning in a bottle. One of the best decisions ever made at Warner Bros.

Let's unlock his massive potential. We just need another SUPERMAN film with him. The possibilities would be endless. #HenryCavillSupermanpic.twitter.com/cYRR2q0HNJ

I honestly think Henry Cavill is the perfect Superman actor. His physique, looks, enthusiasm, subtlety and knowledge and love for the character are all things that make him born for that role. He´s been great so far, I´d love to see what more he can bring. #HenryCavillSupermanpic.twitter.com/Sj2UZWL32U

For years, Superman was called "unrelatable" by the general audience. "Too perfect."

Man of Steel was the first time on screen that Superman was truly one of us. Raised as a human, complex, flawed, but with hope in his heart.

That is the Superman we need.#HenryCavillSupermanpic.twitter.com/JFF1SSXq4f

Previous reports suggest that although a standalone sequel has yet to be announced, Cavill will make cameo appearances in future DCEU film. If you'd ask me, I'd be down to see him return for a proper sequel and his portrayal of the character has grown on fans over the years. It would be a shame if WB ends up robbing fans of a definitive modern-day Superman story.

In other Henry Cavill news, he is one of the stars of Netflix's upcoming film Enola Holmes, hitting the streaming service this September 23rd!
