HBO Max Puts an End to Free Trial Offer Ahead of Wonder Woman 1984's Release

Streamers who are looking to capitalize on HBO Max's free trial offer may not like the sound of this news. The HBO streaming service has officially discontinued the feature ahead of Wonder Woman 1984's upcoming premiere on December 25. On the bright side though, they are now offering up to a 20% discount if you subscribe to the service for six months.

The said offer would only be valid for pretty much an entire month so it's up to you whether or not you'd like to avail. A fine print ad from the streaming service's app says: "Total discounted price is $69.99, plus applicable tax. Offer valid from December 3, 2020, to January 15, 2021."

Don't expect the feature to return anytime soon either. As much as I hate to break it to you, with the recent confirmation that all of Warner Bros. Picture's releases for 2021 will also be debuting on HBO Max, some fans will be forced to subscribe full-time to the service. Of course, there's always the option to go out and catch WB's upcoming offerings in the cinema but given the current pandemic situation, I don't think that'll exactly be a smart move.

The best option, for now, without a doubt is to subscribe full-time to HBO Max and take full advantage of its features. The streaming service's 2021 lineup includes titles such as The Matrix 4, Dune, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, Godzilla vs. Kong, Tom & Jerry, The Suicide Squad, and of course, the highly-anticipated Snyder Cut of Justice League. I don't know about you but those are pretty solid offerings and you totally get your money's worth.

Wonder Woman 1984 is hitting both theaters and HBO Max on Christmas day.
