Blade Runner 2049 Gets New Set Photos Featuring Harrison Ford, Ryan Gosling And Robin Wright


Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049 is making irector Says Take Note its way to the big screen next month and the studios have been slowly adding up heat to the film's marketing campaign.

Not only is the film heading to this year's San Diego Comic Con with its own panel and an exhibit right outside the convention center, but it also has an article up on Entertainment Weekly's Comic Con issue with a new set of cool photos.

Not only does the set feature Harrison Ford's Rick Deckard and Ryan Gosling's Officer K, but they also highlight Robin Wright's unnamed character in the neo-noir science fiction movie. Check out the photos down here:

In an interview with the publication, Villeneuve goes on to explain what the universe of Blade Runner has come to in its sequel. The director previously said that things would be darker in Blade Runner 2049 and he talks more about it in the interview.

"The climate has gone berserk and the ecosystem has collapsed and the ocean has risen," the director explains. "There are a lot of refugees trying to survive on the West Coast."

"The presence of the winter brings more charcoal and there's sparks of color," he adds. "The yellow is something I can't talk about, but…it's a very important color."

No wonder there's been a lot of yellow and orange in the film's cinematography. We wonder how the charcoal's going to affect the events in the movie. Let's wait and see.

Blade Runner 2049 makes its way to the big screen on October 6, 2017.
