Black Panther and Walking Dead Actress Danai Gurira Eyeing Star Trek 4 Role

Danai Gurira has been doing well this year, not only wowing Marvel fans as Okoye in Black Panther and Avengers: Infinity War but also continuing to be a badass in AMC's The Walking Dead. She's been a hot commodity and fans are excited to see what the actress does next and if Paramount gets their way, we could see her in Star Trek 4.

According to Deadline, Gurira has shown interest in a role for the upcoming Star Trek movie that will be directed by S.J. Clarkson. While she hasn't signed on to the role yet, the fact that she has shown interest in it should get fans talking.

It will be interesting to see if these movie roles Gurira accepts will affect her work in The Walking Dead. Her work as Michonne has made her one of the most popular characters in the series but they had to sideline the character during the filming for Black Panther. Should the actress get more roles like this, she might have to avoid more zombie battles on television.

Star Trek movies finally have some direction after Beyond disappointed in the box office, even though it was received well by critics. No release date for Star Trek 4 has been announced.
