Black Panther Star Chadwick Boseman Re-Teaming With The Russo Brothers For A New Film

Chadwick Boseman's T'Challa might have turned to dust in Avengers: Infinity War, but that doesn't mean the Black Panther star can't get busy working on other new movies.

Teaming up together with Infinity War directors Joe and Anthony Russo, Boseman is getting to work on a new action thriller called 17 Bridges.

According to a report by Variety, the Marvel star has signed on to produce and star in the film while the Russo brothers who have directed Boseman in Marvel films like Infinity War and Captain America: Civil War are both going to produce the film under their new banner, Agbo. They're also set to produce the movie together with Agbo's Mike Larocca as well as Boseman's writing and producing partner Logan Coles. Meanwhile, Irish film and television director Brian Kirk is going to helm 17 Bridges. For those who aren't that familiar with the filmmaker, Kirk has recently directed a few episodes of Game of Thrones, The Riches by FX and Brotherhood by Showtime.

With production to be overseen by STXfilm's Kate Vorhoff and Drew Simon, 17 Bridges is to begin filming later this September.

This is the statement that STXfilms chairman Adam Fogelson gave:

"STX has assembled a dream team of collaborators on '17 Bridges,' bringing together the global talents behind two of the biggest action films ever made to give audiences a thrilling new take on the race-against-the-clock crime-drama."

17 Bridges is going to be Boseman's first major role after appearing in the MCU as Black Panther. It's definitely exciting imagining what kind of character we'll get to see after Boseman's great performance as T'Challa in Civil War, Black Panther, and Infinity War.

17 Bridges doesn't have a release date yet, but we'll let everyone know as soon as we get word.
