Black Panther Lego Movie Announced

With Black Panther hitting theaters early next year, Marvel Animation announced a Lego Black Panther movie would be coming out soon during New York Comic-Con (via Newsarama). Called Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda, it is the second Lego Marvel movie, the first being Lego Marvel Super Heroes: Maximum Overload. If it's anything like Maximum Overload, the film will be straight to home release and won't be in the same scope as the Lego Batman film.

No details were revealed about Trouble in Wakanda, but it will likely be targeted at a younger audience. Ulysses Klaw could be the villain since he is in the live-action movie, but they could try introducing another character to younger fans. Either way, it will be interesting to see what a Lego version of Wakanda looks like.

Marvel has been doing a lot of Black Panther promotion lately. New comics about the character were announced in recent weeks, alongside the current ongoing series by Ta-Nehisi Coates. Expanding that to younger audiences is a smart move so that they can be interested in the live-action film and any future spinoffs that include the character.

Black Panther: Trouble in Wakanda has no release date. Black Panther comes out on February 16, 2018.
