Billy Dee William’s Son Talks About The Lando Star Wars: Episode IX Rumors

Star Wars: Episode IX is beginning production next month, and rumors have it that Billy Dee Williams will be joining the shoot, reprising his role as Lando Calrissian.

Taking to Twitter, William's son, Corey, has decided to give his two cents on the issue. Posting on Twitter, William's son told Star Wars fans not to ask him about Lando rumors.

"I can neither deny or confirm anything. I am clueless, so speculate as you will. LOL!" Corey wrote in the tweet that he has since deleted from the social media platform. Seeing how fans interpreted the LOL as a tease, Corey has updated the post with another tweet with a much clearer tone.

Williams also seemed to put up a post on Twitter sharing his frustration over the deleted Tweet being taken out of context, saying that he could be "actually be clueless. About a great many things!"

It's easy to understand Corey's frustration over the tweets. Star Wars fans can be persistent, finding "hints" and "teases" in messages and posts that don't really hold any meaning to them. Last year before the release of The Last Jedi, fans even went as far as to speculate that Luke (Mark Hamill) would turn to the Dark side, just because of his placement in the film's posters.

Now, fans are desperate to find some sort of confirmation that Lando's going to make his way to the Star Wars sequel trilogy, even if it means hounding Billy Dee William's son.

Lucasfilm's latest release, Solo: A Star Wars Story, is currently screening in cinemas. Star Wars: Episode IX hits cinemas December 20, 2019.
