Benicio del Toro is promoting his work in a new Heineken campaign, and a featurette about his commercial with the beer company features him talking about another project: Star Wars: Episode VIII.
As we previously reported, the production video released last month announced del Toro's involvement in Episode VIII. Now, the behind-the-scenes look at the Heineken commercial shows that the 49-year-old actor is glad to be a part of the Star Wars universe: "They contacted me, they invited me to come to their dance. To do a movie in that world, the Star Wars world is a great opportunity to enjoy it with my daughter," he said of why he accepted it.
Del Toro has been involved with more R-rated projects like Sicario, Sin City, and Snatch, but he also played The Collector in Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. I'm excited to see his character in Star Wars: Episode VIII, which will be released in theaters on Dec. 15, 2017.
