Benedict Cumberbatch Shares Expectations for Avengers: Infinity War

Doctor Strange is one of the newer heroes coming in to the Avengers universe. But he's bringing an entire fanbase with him after Benedict Cumberbatch and the entire cast and crew behind the trippy movie gave another view of how a Marvel movie could look onscreen.

As such, a common question is whether the previous rumor of how Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange will only be a stand-in will affect the film's integrity. Conflicts in schedule is not all that uncommon, but as far as what fans should expect to see of him in the movie Cumberbatch did give us some hope in his interview with Entertainment Tonight.

"There's a great deal that can be done in the Marvel universe or in any comic universe, whether it's hiding a pregnancy to having someone there who's on another side of the world. But there's only so much they can do without you. And so yeah, I'll be there, don't worry."

Cumberbatch goes on to praise the work that's being done in Avengers: Infinity War, whether it's the insane set and crew working behind the scenes to the bevy of actors who have made the run possible in all sorts of ways. But more interestingly, he has some great teasing words for the script.

"I've got a script and I've been reading it. And it's very, very good fun."

As much as we'd want to know more, I think we should settle for just looking forward to how the Russo brothers and the rest of Marvel will work on this one. After Captain America: Civil War, I'm not even the least bit hesitant about putting my hopes up for this Marvel movie.

Avengers: Infinity War will be out on May 2018.
