Ben Affleck Finally Confirms Directorship on The Batman

Ben Affleck is done with being indecisive about his Batman movie project.

While earlier reports this year gave a gloomy outlook for DC's new Batman movie as critically-acclaimed the Hollywood actor and director revealed that he wasn't so sure that he'd work on the film if the script wouldn't come together, it seems the tables have begun to turn for The Batman. Not only has Affleck indicated that there's a lot of great things in the new script for the film, but the Hdirector has also given his firm decision to helm the DC project as well.

Speaking with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Affleck gave a solid response to the television host's questions regarding the upcoming Batman standalone.

"I'm going to direct the next Batman, we're working on it. It's one of those things that's really frustrating because like Live by Night took me a year-and-a-half to write it and get it ready. And I worked really hard. It's just nobody gave a sh-t! Nobody was like, 'Where's Live by Night?!' But with Batman I keep on getting, 'Where's the f--cking Batman?!' And I"m like, 'Whoa, I'm working! Give me a second.'"

Maybe Affleck's presumed indecision about the Batman solo was a ruse after all – the Batman vs. Superman star must have tried to get audiences focus more on his more recent project, Live By Night, than muster up the fans with news about The Batman.

While a release date has not yet been designated for The Batman, Affleck's firm stance on the film sounds pretty good on its own.
