Ben Affleck Considering His Exit As The DCEU’s Batman

Ben Affleck might be seemingly enjoying his time working on Zack Snyder's Justice League in the film's promotional circuit, however the DC Extended Universe star has just recently confirmed that he's already started thinking of ways to exit his role as the franchise's Dark Knight.

Sitting down to talk with the USA Today about the DCEU's latest installment, Affleck got to talking about the Matt Reeve's upcoming Batman movie. While the actor was formerly attached to star in the film, Affleck now says his participation in Reeve's movie is "something that I'm contemplating," explaining that while he loves playing the DCEU's Dark Knight, "You don't do it forever, so I want to find a graceful and cool way to segue out of it."

Though this new report will definitely disappoint fans who've been claiming that Affleck's version of the Caped Crusader is actually the best live-action rendition of the Dark Knight, there are still some who are holding on to hopes that the DCEU star might change his mind. Affleck has been flip-flopping a lot about his involvement with the DCEU's upcoming Batman movie – at one point the Hollywood star was attached to direct, but then he decided to step down from the director's seat so that he could focus on his role in Justice League.

Justice League makes its big debut on Friday, November 17, 2017.
