Ben Affleck And Matt Damon Auditioned To Play Robin In Tim Burton's Batman

Justice League hits theaters by the end of the week, and almost every actor in the roster is busy promoting the film. Ben Affleck recently made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and when it came to the topic of his close friend Matt (last name Damon), he revealed that both of them actually auditioned for the role of Robin in Tim Burton's Batman.

The story starts at 1:50:

Back in the 80s when Affleck and Damon were just child actors, both of them were asked to audition for a secret role which turned out to be Robin for Burton's Batman film. Neither Affleck nor Damon got cast in the role, but as everyone remembers, Robin was nowhere to be found in the movie.

Looking at it now, it's actually pretty cool that Affleck is the new Batman. With him having such a solid role in the DCEU, it's funny how his best friend only has this small cameo as an Asgardian actor in Thor: Ragnarok. On the upside, Marvel head Kevin Feige is open to having Damon reprise his role in future MCU films.

Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman's selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists newfound ally Diana Prince to face an even greater threat. Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to recruit a team to stand against this newly awakened enemy. Despite the formation of an unprecedented league of heroes -- Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash -- it may be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.

Batfleck returns in Justice League which hits theaters Nov. 17.
