Baymax And Friends Return In Intro For Disney’s Big Hero 6 Series

Just like Tangled before it, Disney is releasing a new series based on the hit animated film, Big Hero 6, and the intro was released online.

The series is said to pick up right where the movie left off, and all the original voice actors will be back to play their characters—save for T.J. Miller (Fred) and Damon Wayans Jr. (Wasabi) who'll be replaced by Brooks Wheelan and Khary Payton respectively.

Though I would love to see Big Hero 6's story continue, I'm not entirely sold on the animation. The last time I was really impressed with a Disney animated series was Gravity Falls, but that one ended a while back. Star vs. The Forces of Evil looks okay, but you can still see all the trademarks of "flash animation." It looks cheap is what I'm saying.

But hey, that's just my opinion. Rick and Morty have the same "flash animation" look, but I love that show. Let's see what Big Hero 6 has to bring to the table.

As the new prodigy at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology, Hiro now faces daunting academic challenges and the social trials of being the little man on campus. Off campus, the stakes are raised for the high-tech heroes as they must protect their city from an array of scientifically enhanced villains.

No specific release date has been announced for Big Hero 6: The Series, but we should expect it to air in fall this year on Disney Channel.
